A number of special events are held on the Railway during the year – often featuring guest locomotives.  We also hold a ‘Railway at Work’ weekend every Spring which provides a rare chance to see behind the scenes of the Swanage Railway – and speak to the people who keep it running. 

The Purbeck Railway Circle is the dedicated area group for Swanage Railway Trust members in Dorset and the surrounding area.  Meetings are normally held on the 2nd or 3rd Friday evening of the month and activities include meetings of railway-oriented talks, slide and film shows.
